The M&G coverage team of Founding Shareholder JR Murphy and Associate Will Arnold, have recently received a 3-for-3 victory on summary judgment motions. The first win resulted from their demonstration to the court that an auto policy did not provide collision coverage where the insured manually declined it despite a prior phone call providing a quote including collision coverage.

The second summary judgment was granted on an insurable interest case finding that a car owner’s girlfriend could not insure the car for him.

The final victory occurred in federal court with the additional help from Partner Tim Newton. The court ruled that a homeowner’s policy did not provide coverage for a fire loss when the home was being used as a rental property instead of a residence, holding that both provisions M&G’s client relied upon were enforceable. M&G is able to provide legal advice and expertise for simple or complex insurance cases.
