Katherine Kristinik

Associate

Katherine Kristinik is an associate at Murphy & Grantland focusing on business & commercial litigation. She represents companies of all sizes in state and federal court to resolve complex business disputes, from contract issues to business torts. She has defended businesses against, and represented plaintiffs to pursue, claims such as violations of the South Carolina Trade Practices Act, fraud, breach of contract, negligence, and warranty claims. She also defends businesses in complex, catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims. Katherine is dedicated to protecting her clients’ interests and delivering practical strategies and solutions that help businesses move forward with confidence.

Katherine is a Columbia native and graduated magna cum laude from Furman University. She then worked in the non-profit field through AmeriCorps to assist the Greenville Free Medical Clinic with patient assessment processes and patient resources, as well as answer calls for a mental health crisis line.

She later returned home to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, she served as a production editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust, & Estate Law Journal. She also earned CALI awards for Trial Advocacy and Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing II.

Outside of work, Katherine enjoys strolling on the riverwalk, antiquing, volunteering, and visiting the art museum.
