Diana August

Associate

Diana August is an Associate with Murphy & Grantland. Her practice focuses on a variety of matters, including litigation and insurance coverage.

Diana graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2022. Diana served as the Senior Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review, President of the Christian Legal Society, President of the Labor and Employment Law Society, and a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. She made the Dean’s List and received the CALI award for Technology and Criminal Prosecution. Diana was also the recipient of the 2021 South Carolina Bar Employment & Labor Law Section Memorial Scholarship, the 2022 Capers Bouton Memorial Scholarship, and the Robert W. Foster, Sr. Alternative Dispute Resolution Award. She is a certified mediator through the Maryland Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Diana earned a Master’s Degree in Intelligence and Security from the Citadel Graduate College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Carolina.

Diana volunteers as a Guardian Ad Litem with Richland County CASA and attends First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, South Carolina, where she serves on the board for the Women of the Church. In her free time, Diana enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
