Rogers E. Harrell, III

Shareholder

Rogers is a shareholder with Murphy and Grantland. He concentrates his legal practice on the defense of businesses and individuals in a wide variety of civil matters. He has represented businesses of every size, from large multi-national corporations engaged in retail and manufacturing, to locally-owned small businesses. As a trial attorney, he has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict across South Carolina. In addition to his litigation practice, Rogers is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator by the South Carolina Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification.

Prior to joining the firm, Rogers was a law clerk for the Honorable R. Knox McMahon of the South Carolina Circuit Court. Rogers graduated from The Citadel, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduating from The Citadel, Rogers worked in the construction and manufacturing industry in Charleston, South Carolina for more than a decade. He attended the Charleston School of Law where he graduated with honors. While in law school, Rogers served as a faculty research assistant, a senator in the Student Bar Association and was a member of Phi Delta Phi.

Rogers is a proud native of Kingstree, South Carolina. He and his wife, Kimberly, have three beautiful children, Margaret, Edward and Thomas. Rogers enjoys golf, outdoors, cooking, history and reading.
